Gulf Coast Research and Education Center houses 16 laboratories including tissue culture and plant diagnostics and can staff up to 25 faculty members and their support personnel. 475 acres of land, donated by Hillsborough County, contain research trials for vegetables, small fruits, and ornamental plants. Meeting space available can accommodate up to 500 people and features state-of-the-art audio and visual equipment including teleconferencing.
